I was born in Missouri but grew up in Florida where I graduated high school in 1991.  I lived in Florida for close to 17 years where my father was on City Council for many years and also held the office of Mayor.  It is because of my family involvement in politics that I too, "caught the bug" for City Council and the democratic process.

Aside from having a business for a couple of years I have primarily worked in two different occupational fields; Aviation and Medicine.  After graduating from the University of Missouri with a degree in Biology/Chemistry (pre-med) I was accepted into the U.S. Navy for their Officers program and into flight school as a Pilot.  Although my Navy career was cut short due to an injury, I continued to fly as a corporate and commercial Pilot.  Once I was married and had children I quickly realized that I did not want to raise my kids on a Pilot's schedule and entered into my current occupation.  I work in surgery as a Spine Implant Consultant for a global leader in the industry.  I have been a Spine Consultant for close to 10 years and absolutely love the technical and academic aspects of my job.

City Council appeals to me because I have an affinity for working with people.  I hope to represent our community with the utmost professionalism and understanding.  I am committed to represent our community as a voice of the people.

I enjoy woodworking, bow hunting, hiking, road biking, mountain biking, fishing.....anything outdoors!
