Citizens of Brandon can be assured that the water is safe to drink and is within or below the EPA Standards.  The test results that the City of Brandon received from the Public Health Lab on August 9, 2019 show Gross Alpha of 5.4 pCi/L liter, which is well below the EPA Safe drinking water standards of 15 pCi/L.  Both Radium 226 and Radium 228 are below 1pCi/L and when combined they are again well below the maximum contaminant level of 5 pCi/L.  We have attached our test results.  The City of Brandon has and will continue to provide water that meets and exceeds all Primary Drinking Water Standards set by the EPA for the health and safety of our citizens.
