I was raised on a farm outside of Tyndall, SD. I attended country school for the first eight grades. I am a graduate of the University of South Dakota with a degree in Business Administration. I have been a financial advisor for over 27 years working with IDS, Financial Network and Securities America, Inc.
I have been active in the community since we moved here in 2003. I am past president of the Brandon Valley Area Chamber of Commerce, have served as secretary for the Brandon Community Foundation, have served as officer of the middle school PTSO, was on the Parent’s Advisory Board for the high school, served as secretary of the Junior/Senior Parent Organization, was a member of the Brandon Valley Booster Club, and attend Faith United Presbyterian Church.
When we decided to move back to the “East River” from Rapid City, we deliberately chose Brandon. We like the small town feel, but we still have the amenities of a city just minutes away. We knew the school system was well respected, and we liked the progressive nature of the city’s leadership. We have been very pleased with our move.
Brandon continues to be recognized by both the State of South Dakota and the national media for our growth and quality of life. A family truly can “Build a Better Life” here and I appreciate being a part of the leadership that drives that vision.
